4TH ANNUAL SCARECROW HUNT

Friday, 17th September

6pm at School followed by BBQ

at The Crown

Our scarecrow hunt is getting bigger and better each year.  Last year we had 52 scarecrows, but this village is large and we would love loads more!

Could you construct a scarecrow and display it in your front garden or somewhere visible from the road, on the evening of Friday, 17th September?  If you don’t live in Hemingbrough but would like to make one we can display it for you.

Maps are handed out at school showing which streets to look down and all scarecrows have to be written down and then votes are cast for the favourite three.  At the end of the evening (a BBQ at The Crown) the scores are added up and prizes are awarded to the best scarecrows and the best hunters.

You will win a great prize if your scarecrow is voted the best!

If you can make a scarecrow please contact Judith on Tel: 01757 630641 e-mail  randjbattersby@tiscali.co.uk  and let her know the location of all scarecrows at least a week before the event to include them in the hunt.
